In their words
Why residents choose Valley.

Leon Wang
Class of 2027
University of Texas
“I'm so grateful to have matched at Valley Family Medicine.
The sense of community and camaraderie makes it easy to ask for help, and I've grown a lot with the steady support of faculty, co-residents, program coordinators, and clinic staff who have my back.
Our clinic-first model allows for strong patient continuity, which has let me build real relationships with my patients and gain a true sense of what it means to be a primary care doctor.
Our patient population is diverse socioeconomically, ethnically, and culturally, which has prepared me to care for any community. Caring for people from all parts of the world also means I learn so much about the world from my patients every day.
Outside of work, living in the Seattle area has been a joy, with mountain hikes, scenic road trips, and the chance to experience all four seasons.
As I near graduation, I feel confident that VFM has prepared me well for the next step of my career.”
“One of the main reasons I chose VFM is their strong OB training. I've performed over 100 deliveries by the beginning of my third year, and I feel confident practicing FM/OB in my future practice.”
